Sid Meier's Civilization VII Cheats and Trainer for Steam

So I confirmed last night this is a viable workaround, was able to play for about two hours. The only issue I ran into was units turning into “ghost mode” where they would disappear off the map but could still be used. Not sure if we can find a further way around this but as of right now it’s 100% playable with this method.

I can get the mods to work if I start Wemod after the game is up and running but the units freeze in place, i.e. there icons remain on the same hex but the game recognises they have moved, same for AI units.

Once I have the benefit of some of the cheats I have saved, exited the game, closed Wemod but on restarting the game and loading the save, I get the crash and 2K Fair Play page.

I have found that if I restart the PC then start the game, and reload the save, it works ok, but it is a time consuming process as the game takes like 5 min to load.

But, just like to say, thanks for the effort. I’m sure this will be a long road as Fraxis have so may patches to fix the shoddy launch.

Actually I experience the same issue with ghost units.

Are you able to save the game (after applying the mods), quit and relog to get the models moving again? I’m specifically trying to give myself a ton of influence and gold to start a game. i dont need the other stuff. So if start a game, open WeMod and add a ton of gold and influence, save and quit…are the models still broken?

No, once you restart (a full exit) everything will be back to normal. Be sure to fully exit Wemod.

Crazy world that we live in where you can pay $140 for a game, then it kicks you out when you try to mod it in SINGLE PLAYER. Thanks for all the hard work.

The anti cheat disconnect sucks and I’m only playing singleplayer. For now the only work around I know of for gold and influence is using cheat engine which somehow the anti cheat does not detect.

It’s insane. We could Mod Civ 6. We paid for the game. We should be able to enjoy it the way I would like too. Sigh.

No insta research and culture stuff stay after save.

TIPS for research and culture, choose nothing and press shift+enter. Works too for building

The adding gold and influence doesn’t even work now after the patch.

We can mod CIV VII as well, 90% of the game is XML and Javascript. Plus when the developers release FireTuner it will have cheats included by the developers anyway.

Quite sure this is 2K targetting WeMod and not the developers, cause I can confirm I’ve had no such issues with Cheat Engine.

Anyone have an issue where the unit animations are frozen? I can move the units as basically a ghost but the units themselves are frozen in place.

@MrAntiFun when can we expect the animation fix? I tested the game in different setups: using cheats, just having WeMod open, turning on all cheats, saving and then reloading without them, and even playing without cheats at all. The animations get really messed up when cheats are on and stay broken even after turning them off. A temporary fix is to use the cheats you need, save, then reload the game without WeMod running.

took the words out my mouth! so disappointed with this and steam wont refund cause i broke the 2h. i found a work around by changing some data files from -1 to 1 that let me mod but the update removed that ability.

also try starting in the vulken if your troops have disappered worked for me

Whenever I start the launcher it closes the game and takes me to the 2k code of conduct now just wanna let ya know

Found the same issue - an update to the Game occurrred, and now all of the previous tips to use the WeMod do not work.

Clearing your Steam Cache will allow the game to start without being redirected to the Code of Conduct page.
