It appears that the Stoneshard topic was closed on 2/28/2020 with a reference to a potential update (LINK).
Any updates to that trainer to make it functional?

There are no updates as of yet that I am aware of.
As the staff member in the thread said, the game’s code is absolutely atrocious, which makes it difficult to work with in terms of making a working trainer.
The thread for the trainer will be updated when we have something to update it with.
