when i try to start terraria with these cheats, i get a notification from windows about a trojan virus and doesn’t allow me to start my game, i checked if the same thing would happen if i use your cheats for bloons td 6, but that started just fine. Am i doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the cheats?
This is just a false positive. Your antivirus is being over-cautious. Which antivirus program do you use?
You may be able to resolve this issue by adding WeMod as an exception in your antivirus program. Also, try adding the trainers folder as an exception too. You’ll find it here: C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\WeMod\App\trainers.
EDIT - Please see the post below by WeMod’s developer.
A future app update will potentially fix this. For now, please make sure your antivirus software has an exception for this file: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\WeModClrHelper-20050100.dll (i.e. C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\Temp\WeModClrHelper-20050100.dll)
Not completely sure, but I think that’s the issue here.
This game received a hotfix and was updated to version 1.4.0.5 about 17 hours ago from this post. Twitter link. | Terraria official forum link (click the link that says "click here for latest hotfix version)
so I was using the mods 2 days ago and they were fine during the day and into the early morning yesterday but I left and came back from work and tried loading the mods and got a message saying the could load and I was getting told there were viruses from the mod pack is there any reason to why it would just randomly do this it seems like ome day it works and the next day when it stops working it doesn’t work for a long time
False positives are a common occurrence with trainers, no matter where on the internet you get them from. Even if the trainer was okay before, the antivirus can randomly decide another day that it doesn’t like it.
It is purely because of the way trainers work, which is by injecting values into your PC’s RAM. In WeMod’s case, it is also sometimes flagging the security encryption that WeMod uses to protect the trainers from being ripped and re-uploaded to shady websites, because it cannot identify the security encryption (which is a good thing). Add WeMod as an exception in your antivirus and the problem should be resolved.
