Nothing more than a greedy cash grab. There are other ways to make revenue besides introducing some idiotic 2 hour time limit.
Yeah, I’m so done with y’all lmao. Fling trainers it is.
Got an account Since 2017, suddenly got hit with a 2hour limit aswell, thought that was a feature for an accounts created after 2024.whats up with the sudden change?
Hey, what’s up with the bs time limit? I saw that it was for accounts made after 2024, but mine was made in 2017, so why am I getting the time limit stuff???
Yea i am completely whit you, none expect to be free but this move is feals that the priority is not anymore the community but the money
Hey everyone, thanks for sharing your thoughts here and we hear you. really…
To clarify a few things that have come up in this thread:
The 2-hour daily session was reintroduced earlier this year for all free accounts. Existing accounts created before February 24th had unlimited access until May 1st, after which the session timer was activated for everyone on the free tier.
We did our best to communicate this change in advance. We emailed free users (ones who were active within the previous 90 days leading up to the announcement), posted on our blog, shared updates on Discord and our subreddits, and there’s also a weekly reminder in the app itself. We understand it may not have reached everyone and we’re sorry for any confusion.
The timer only counts active gameplay sessions, so if Wand was running while you were away from your game, that time shouldn’t have counted. If you’re seeing unexpected behavior, please reach out to support@wand.com and we’ll look into it.
We know this isn’t what many of you wanted to hear. Supporting thousands of mods across thousands of games requires ongoing investment and the session timer is how we keep that sustainable while still offering a free tier. Your feedback genuinely matters and we’ll make sure it reaches the team.
Thank you for taking the time to share this and we’re sorry you’re feeling this way. If you have specific account concerns, feel free to email us at support@wand.com. ![]()
Thanks for taking the time to reply — but this still doesn’t address the core issues raised here. The concern isn’t whether an announcement existed somewhere. It’s that a change this significant wasn’t communicated in the places users actually rely on: the in‑app changelog, the update notes, or anywhere visible to long‑term users. I checked the official changelog myself, and the 2‑hour limit still isn’t listed. That’s not transparency.
The second issue is the philosophy. “Your game, your rules” wasn’t just a slogan — it was the identity of the platform. A 2‑hour hard limit turns that into “your game, our limits unless you pay.” That’s why people feel this is a fundamental shift, not just a policy update.
And the third issue is priorities. Staff have been active promoting giveaways, deals, and Pro offers across Discord and the community — but not engaging with the backlash around this change. That contrast is why the silence felt intentional.
One more point: emailing 600,000 users out of a claimed 40 million is 1.5% coverage. That’s not broad communication by any reasonable standard, especially for a platform‑wide restriction that affects every free user.
No one is denying that supporting thousands of mods takes work. But sustainability and transparency aren’t mutually exclusive. If the goal is trust, then documenting major restrictions, addressing user concerns directly, and acknowledging the impact on long‑term users has to be part of the process. Right now, that part is missing.
I got the email saying they were switching to the two hour time limit back on Feb 19, 2026 (nearly TWO AND A HALF months ago).
If you ignored it or had it sent to your spam folder then that’s not Wands fault.
Again, we’re sorry that we didn’t do enough when it came to communicating this change broadly, and the in-app changelog should have reflected this update. That’s on us.
What we can assure you is that every piece of feedback in this thread has been received by the team. Nothing shared here is going unread.
Thank you all for taking the time to share this. We hope for even a little understanding as we work through it and do better going forward.
