What’s going on with this new time limit for using mods? Everything was fine before, but while playing a game a few minutes ago, I noticed my cheats suddenly stopped working. When I checked Wand, there was a notice saying I’d exceeded a 2-hour time limit.
Same here, have been a member since March 7th 2020, time limit suddenly today. Logged into original account
Also Same here. What’s this Bull crap. Time limit on something that has always been FREE!!
Bad enough that you puts ads on WEmod Now your making ppl PAY or they can’t use this free service..WTF!! And i have had my wemod account since 2019 !!! Now i gotta PAY..*** that!!
Good Job, Now ppl will go else where to get Trainers.
Sad that MrAntiFun went along with this S$%T. I started using his mod years ago, always trusted his mods.. Now This.. Nice get all good reviews for Wemod to make it sound great blah blah and then thought now let’s make EVERYONE pay…
Hello, thank you for reaching out. We have introduced a 2-hour session timer for gameplay customizations on the free tier. Free users will have 2 hours per day to use mods. The timer begins when a game is launched through the Wand app and will not activate if launched without mods. Browsing the app, using maps, or capturing clips does not count toward the time limit.
The 2-hour session timer is now active for all free accounts effective today. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any further questions.
The timer applies only to gameplay customizations (mods). The timer starts when you hit Play in the Wand app, regardless of whether mods are on. It doesn’t count time spent browsing the app, using maps, or watching clips. Your time resets at midnight local time each day.
Well, that’s not right. I can understand putting a timer on the other features you’ve been adding lately for free users, but the cheats themselves should have unlimited use.
I’ve already gone back to CE
As you can see, I’m a pro user, and honestly, I’m already tired of this app. If anyone can recommend a new app like the old WeMod, I’d appreciate it. It now has so many unnecessary features that just repel people, and this has been the last straw for me.
Not happy at all. You’ve just lost a lot of people. Maybe in the next quarter you can reflect on this decision and see how the numbers are doing, might be to late to save face by then and people will not return
Btw, yea this is not a good idea, lock featurs/mods/cheats behind time limit will never work.
Did you not see or heard the news whit playstation and the time limit of 30 days for the game that you buy/own???How many have start complain and STOP subscrition for playstation plus??? Who seurisly think this is a good idea to be introduced in a Free cheat trainer???
All of this was communicated in an email to all Wand acounts back on Feb. 19th 2026. Which in the email also directed to this blog post going over the reasons for the change.
Wand Cheats just added a 2‑hour trial limit, and it’s honestly a terrible move. Two hours isn’t enough time to test anything—especially for games where you need multiple sessions to see if a trainer is stable.
What makes it worse is that if you look at the WeMod community’s top monthly posts, you can see how other trainers earn trust by being usable, consistent, and actually testable over time. Wand Cheats going “pay after 2 hours” feels like the opposite of that. It pushes people away instead of convincing them to buy.
Anyone else think this change is just bad design?
For real I made my account before the change and used to have unlimited time and now, I’m limited they said if any account made before the change still get to have unlimited time. They better fix it cause if a lot of people who had accounts before the change they’re going to get annoyed.
Hilarious. They think they’ve finally added enough features to the bloated trainer such as enforced screen recording with no obvious off switch, that they somehow think they can successfull monetize the trainer industry. Newsflash: We’ll just go back to downloading trainers for free like we always did. What a sad attempt.
Yup. Account created in 2021. They just imposed the 2 hour limit today Bullshit
Crazy that they just dropped this for pre-2024 users without any announcement. They’ve pumped this app full with so much trash and now expect you to pay to use it more that 2 hours, I’m 100% looking for alternative now because they are not getting a cent from me.![]()
I’ve a lot of problems with this:
Firstly lack of transparency, if you’re going to do it, be honest dont just hide it in a small thread.
Secondly this used to be about giving back to the community who supported them, now it feels like a cash grab. Devs, loyalty is a two way street.
Thirdly and most importantly we’re living in a time where there are other external factors causing our disposal incoming to shrink. So what are people going to prioritze food, or the new cheat from wand or whatever it calls itself offers?
I’m calling on the developers to do the right thing and reverse this decision.
Hey @dbroughton79 appreciate you sharing your thoughts and we hear you.
A quick clarification on transparency: this wasn’t hidden. We announced the changes months in advance across email, Discord, our support forums, and the news page. We wanted to give everyone plenty of time to plan.
On the bigger picture we get it. Times are tight for a lot of people, and we don’t take that lightly. But keeping Wand running means having a large team that maintains mods across thousands of games, tests and pushes updates every time a patch drops, and keeps building. The session timer is how we keep that sustainable while making sure there’s still a free tier for everyone.
Mod support is our core focus and always will be. In 2025, we supported more games than ever and helped players activate over 1.3 billion mods. We’re continuing to invest heavily there while also building features that make the overall experience better.
Thanks for the response, but I think you’re missing why people are frustrated.
On transparency:
Saying “we announced it months in advance” doesn’t change the fact that the announcement was easy to miss. If a change fundamentally alters how the free tier works, it should be communicated in a way that every user actually sees—inside the app, in the launcher, or as a required notice. Posting it across scattered channels isn’t the same as making sure the community is properly informed.
On sustainability:
No one is arguing that development is free. But the issue isn’t whether you need revenue—it’s the way you chose to get it. A 2‑hour session limit is so restrictive that it barely qualifies as a trial. It feels designed to push people into paying, not to let them evaluate the product. That’s why it comes across as a cash‑grab, not a sustainability measure.
On the “big picture” stats:
The numbers about mod activations and supported games don’t address the core concern: trust. People supported Wand because it felt community‑driven. This change breaks that expectation. You can’t talk about loyalty and community while simultaneously reducing the free tier to something that’s almost unusable for many games.
This is why people want the decision reversed.
Not because they expect everything for free, but because the way this was rolled out—and the severity of the limit—undermines the relationship you built with your users.
Well that’s it for me. Going back to CE. Good luck. (been using since 2019)
for me.. at least 4-5 hour limit per day… and, the price is too expnsive..
