[/img]Respawn Entertainment revealed they are teaming up with free-to-play online game maker Nexon and Particle City, in order to help them bring the Titanfall franchise to mobile phones.
Particle City is a studio co-founded by Respawn’s Vince Zampella. In a recent interview he explained his vision and how he is planning to bring the franchise to mobile phones.
“It’s about being able to extend our universe into an area that we at Respawn aren’t expert in. When we built this universe, we realized how extensible it was … and we want to get it out in front of as many people as possible.”
Nexon President and CEO Owen Mahoney also explained that the company doesn’t just intend to port the game directly to smartphones.
Titanfall needed more players per team, more world destruction (much like battlefield) to change the course of the map, it needs MORE AI where there are actually tons of them and there needs to be more ways to move around the map than running on walls or getting stepped on by Titans. The game was definitely fun but it lacked a lot of replay value.
