Wemod app and website extremely slow since last Wemod update

Since the last major wemod update that added the new menus, both the app and the website have been extremely slow, with the app taking around 15-20 MINUTES to load, vs. the 3-5 SECONDS it took to load up before the wemod patch.

Even the game icons in the app are taking several minutes to load. And I have to click on a game several times in the Home screen to get the game to load it’s cheat menu.

I’ve had no issue with Windows or my antivirus blocking Wemod ever, been using it for about a year now. These issues only started since Wemod’s update a week or two ago.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling wemod, still didnt work.

Hello and welcome to the community! I hope you’re doing well today. :slightly_smiling_face:

The issue you’re experiencing does sound quite frustrating.

I’ve tested your report, but I’m not encountering the same problem. For me:

  • WeMod loads in around 3 seconds – and that’s with several other programs running and nearly a dozen browser tabs open.
  • The website loads in under a second.

I also haven’t seen recent reports of this from WeMod’s millions of active users.

However, I have unlimited fibre optic internet, so results will naturally vary depending on factors such as your internet package, computer hardware, and how much traffic your connection is handling. For example, if someone else is streaming or downloading large files in your household, it could affect your internet speeds.

One thing you could try is to run an internet speed test (there are many free ones available via search engines). This will show your upload and download speeds, so you can compare them with what your ISP is offering in your contract with them. Depending on your results:

  • Check for service issues with your ISP – sometimes the problem lies with them.
  • Investigate potential speed throttling by your ISP.
    • Many people are unaware of the fine print in their internet contract, known as a “fair use policy.” ISPs reserve the right to throttle your speeds, or even cut off your service entirely, if they consider your usage to be excessive based on the plan you’ve purchased.

Based on my tests, it seems that this may be an issue on your end. I understand this might not be the answer you were hoping for, but as mentioned, I haven’t found any problems on WeMod’s side. :handshake:

(I’m Central BC Canada for reference and I just checked my speeds).
My ISP is 260 down and 150 up (best I could afford right now), and everything loads fast for me on my PC.

So as Ravenfyre said do a speed test and check your ISP.

*note: those numbers are from the hub in my city, I just did another speed test with the hub furthest away (Winnipeg Manitoba Canada) and still got 270 down, 110 up.

Hi, don’t worry I’m having the same issue after latest update 23Sept. I’m in the UK. Wemod won’t load at all for me. Was going to uninstall and reinstall but you said it didn’t work for you so I’m not going to try that. Here’s hoping it works soon. Bye.

That was a completely separate issue unrelated to the OPs, which is now fixed. The OP’s issue is slow loading. Your issue was not loading. They are not the same, please read posts before replying to them to avoid spreading misinformation that can confuse people.

Since the OPs post, still no other WeMod members have reported the exact same as they are.

Apologies. Wrists suitably slapped.

I have the same issue. It takes around 3-4 minutes to load the HOME page but then it takes forever to load anything. I cannot even open “Pro Version” payment page as it’s constantly loading. I have never left it for 20 minutes tho maybe it would load if I did.
I checked my speed and ISP endpoints, I have 800 mbit download and 500 mbit upload, no restrictions and everything else works fine.
I also started to have issues since last update but today I cannot even load anything at all, other than the home page which also still very slow (the images takes 1-2 minutes to load)
Please let us know if someone resolves the issue.
