WeMod using absurd amounts of network data

I don’t leave it on when I’m not using it. I was never offered any options to consent to data collection. I’d like to hear some justifications for this.

Hey there,
Depending on how much you are using the app this may not be excessive assuming this is over the past 30 days. Between ads, downloading trainers, images, etc. this could be a reasonable amount. If you use WeMod everyday this is only about 4GB/day.

I don’t leave it on when I’m not using it.

Are you also closing it from the tray?

I don’t need to close it from the tray, I have “minimize to tray” turned off for WeMod.

And that is absolutely an excessive amount of data. Trainers aren’t large files. There’s no justification for ads destroying my bandwidth cap because of monetization that nobody asked for. You know people get charged for going over their ISP’s cap, right? WeMod is actually taking money from customers who aren’t even subscribed.

Did I mention (I did) that I was never offered any options to consent to data collection?

Time to set up an outbound rule in firewall, I guess. And yes, WeMod still works if you cut it off from the internet, it’s just a bit slower to load up.
