What is the best way to do a fair giveaway?

I want to know because i have some games through humble bundle that i already have so i think doing a give away might be a good thing to do

Just have people post then use a random number generator to pick winners. You can also just pick people you want to give them to.

  1. You could use a random number generator to select a number, then allocate that number to the posting number in the thread. The user who made that post has just won by a matter of chance.

  2. If you want to make sure it goes to someone worthy, you could set a task for the participants to do and the one who succeeds the most could win it. You could also set requirements to enter to make sure it doesn’t go to someone who just signed-up specifically for that purpose and then you never see them again.

  3. We used to have a Contest Engine but I don’t know the link anymore or it is still active. Maybe someone will post with more info…

These are just a few suggestions based on previous giveaways that have taken place. There are lots of options.

It could literally be anything!!

I once hosted a giveaway where the participants had to post something that made me laugh, and I don’t just mean a little chuckle.

The contest engine no longer works since the API no longer exist. Frank is working on a new api for the site and Alex is working on a contest engine but it could take a few months to get up.

I dont know if you entered my GA in cristmas and new year.

How i like to do the GA is that i make a topic where everyone can enter.
Then i add all the name into this list randomizer

Then get the number from the number generator
