leetspeak, i haven’t seen that in ages, man it brings me back.
Leetspeak is just an alternative way of writing text by modifying spellings in a way that they look different but are still understandable.
It began in the 1990s by game hackers - aka h4x0rs - (particularly within the Doom community) as a way to try and avoid their hacking communities from being easily searchable on search engines, back before search engines where anywhere near as “intelligent” as they are now.
Nowadays, it’s mainly used by kids to annoy everyone.
