[/img]According to Xbox Head Phil Spencer, backwards compatibility is boosting Xbox One sales as demonstrated by the great month of June for Microsoft. Backwards compatibility has been announced at E3 2015 and is now in beta, only available for those who are part of the Preview Program.
Based on what Spencer said to a fan, it looks like many Xbox 360 users were only waiting for this kind of news to “make the jump” and buy a new Xbox One for their home gaming.
Curiously enough, later on another fan tweeted he and his three friends have traded in their Xbox 360 for Xbox Ones, and Spencer personally said thank to them in sign of appreciation.
Backwards compatibility is bringing 100 Xbox 360 games on Xbox One when it launches this fall, and by holidays the program will make another 100 titles available for fans to try.
