Xinput1_3.dll was not found

Just wondering if this is a WEMOD issue or a stalker 2 issue, game crashes at approx. the same spot, can’t go further.

The code execution cannot proceed because xinput1_3.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

Welcome to the community! I hope you’re doing well today.

This isn’t related to WeMod or Stalker 2—it’s a DirectX issue. Specifically, it’s caused by missing or corrupted DirectX files on your PC.

Here are two ways to resolve it:

  1. Verify Game Files: Use your game launcher to verify the integrity of the game files. Instructions vary by platform, so a quick Google search for your launcher (e.g., Steam, Epic) can guide you. This process may replace any missing DirectX files automatically.

  2. Install/Repair DirectX: Download and run the official DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35.
:warning: Important: Only download DirectX from Microsoft’s official website to avoid malicious files.

Hopefully, that solves it!

i don’t think I should have done that. This is a brand new machine

13th Gen Intel Core i9 3900H
NIVDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU @12GB
Windows 11 Pro

I’m getting totally different error, first I was getting just a popup, now I’m getting a full fledged dialogue box

I guess it corrected 1 error, but created another. The new error is being transmitted to Stalker 2 support automatically

Hello, and thank you for your reply!

Regarding corrupted files (ie, DirectX being potentially corrupted), the age or specifications of your computer are not relevant in this case. File corruption is a long-standing issue within the Windows operating system and has been occurring for decades. It’s not caused by the PC hardware itself, the user, or any software installed. It’s simply one of those random issues that can happen to anyone at some point. It can happen on a computer that is two days old just as easily as it can happen on a computer that is ten years old. It’s really random.

As for the other error, the fact that it’s being transmitted to STALKER 2 support indicates that it’s a standard crash reporter, which is a common feature in most well-designed games. This tool sends information to the developers about why the game crashed, allowing them to identify and address the issue. Could you let us know what the report says?
