eac ban can also show up on your steam profile too:
Being banned from EAC secured games purchased through Steam will result in a Game Ban status being added to your Steam profile . This has the same impact as a VAC ban status. Games cannot be moved from an EAC banned account to other accounts.
but if the original game goes into maintenance I canāt even play the cracked version or yes ?however they canāt ban you if you use offline cheats because you donāt bother anyone I think
I deleted my first character I used WeMod with. I really just wanted to see some stuff so I could be better prepared and to find some spots. I only ever played offline with it. I played my other 2 regular guys online but I have my game set to offline now. I could care less about pvp in this game. I just want to play , explore and die horribly.
idk honestly, thatās why iām waiting for someone to tell us if you get banned from using cheats even in offline mode. saw some people say EAC still can see you using cheats in offline mode?
Those wondering about bans, I used engines on 2, 3 and sekiro outside of my main play throughs, this was doing everything from leveling to setting stats to drop rates etc. I never used them online and never had the programs open when not using them and never got a ban. Nothing is guranteed you wont get one but thats the chance you take. If your concerned about it then dont use it or if you have, uninstall the game and start a whole new file
Just my 2 cents here but I think a lot of users are getting confused with the difference between EAC and the data sweep that From Soft does in their other games. (And someone smarter or with more knowledge correct me if Iām wrong plz)
EAC is a new implemenation for From Software and EAC is used to catch real time cheating during multiplayer, for example using infinite health / god mode during an invade or something WHILE ONLINE.
From Software also does their own form of testing if there has been cheating in their games. They see if game data has been tampered with (like levels generated out of thin air etc. ) and this is done every few weeks. For Dark Souls 3 I believe it was 2 weeks.
The problem a lot of people highlighted above is we donāt really know what they test for in terms of player data consistency. I have used previously in Dark Souls 3, trainers offline where I used Infinite health and stamina, but those cheats would raise hp to like 999 or some weird value and lock it. Which I guess was picked up when from software checked the character I was playing with because I went online WITHOUT the cheats active and two weeks later I got the message that I was soft banned.
Now, I have a legit character where I have done no tampering with for Elden Ring and I decided to test the trainer with a dummy character that I took offline (because I wanted to see all the hype around faith builds). From testing, I see that enabling inf health, stamina, fp, all these just lock the value to the max you have. They donāt go over. So maybe, if comparing to how I got banned in DS3 with the value going way above what it should, maybe in theory if I take this character online after I am done speed running bosses for the sake of time this character should be good.
This is just one edge case but, Iām honestly thinking about deleting this character off my account before I go online again with my legit character simply because I want to keep playing with my friends who play and Iām scared that their data consistency will get me softbanned even if I never messed with my legit one in any way.
TL;DR: Can probably stop being scared about EAC ban if you launch the game through the trainer correctly and EAC isnāt running when you play the game offline and cheat. But, still be cautious with what cheats you use and then take online legit because we still donāt know what is picked up on their end when they test for consistency with your character.
Certainly this is true.
Too many people are confused with EAC, VAC, and the manufacturerās own data monitoring.
We need to understand separately the monitoring of malicious processes using EAC and the monitoring of data that the manufacturer independently performs.
I still wish to play online, but I donāt want to keep farming for leveling and smithing stone.
so these are the only two things I want to cheat while playing offline, then go online
to play the regular game. I donāt need cheat stat, my stat will be just the same amount
as regular player who grind them legit way.
Will this get my ban? I am so scare lolā¦
how long is the soft ban period?
Hi Rick, can you tell me if your Steam account got flagged with any warning of a āgame banā after you got banned on DS 3, or is just a ban on their internal system? Thatās my fear with EAC on Elden Ring only⦠I just wanna play in peace off-line and I do not intend to go on-line, ever. Iām cautious with that kind of stuff because I have a 15 years account with over lvl 100 and over 800 games that I bought with much effort and I would not like to see my Acc ruinned by being flagged with that kind of warning⦠Thatās my only doubt.
So you are saying that EAC is disabled when I launch the game in off-line mode with WEMOD, thatās correct?
just got soft banned as of today
only used godmode and always set for offline play. even turned steam offline.
Log on today and i am unable to summon cooperators
Because in the past I got soft ban(not anymore) on dark souls 3 and I used the 100% drop rate , changing my stats and all kinds of stuff ⦠But now I playing Elden ring with only unlimited health and god mode offline but Iām wondering if when Iām gonna play online with my friends I wonāt get soft ban if everything is legit (level, stat, souls, etc.)
i can play online but when summoning a companion it just says unable
no marks on my steam account that i can see either. I had used godmode to defeat Radahn and Shatterbeast. that was all. Offline mode with steam set to offline as well
