I guess WeMod doesnt not work anymore⌠Itâs having trouble starting and finding my opened game. I already removed antivirus from my PC but same fault still continues. Can someone help me?

How to disable EAC in Elden Ring
Will only allow offline play. Should avoid soft bans.
- Go to the Steam library location where you installed Elden Ring.
- Go to steamapps > ELDEN RING > game.
- Rename start_protected_game.exe to something else. âŚ
- Make a copy of elden_ring.exe.
- Rename this newly made copy to start_protected_game.exe.
- Run the game through Steam as normal.
Yeah, so basically, as long as your game is not running EAC and you are offline, you wonât get a VAC ban / EAC ban. Just never use any cheat online and EAC wonât catch you.
And to clarify from my post above, From Software never used EAC in their other souls-like games so I was speaking only about their internal ban. I was essentially forced into a cheater only online multiplayer which of course is not fun haha. Only reason I cheat in these games is for times sake or to get through an annoying area that Iâve done a million times.

Many people are having this problem, I could summon my friends but due to the amount of people playing this game its causing some issue with summoning people. Even before I made a separate character to cheat offline for testing I was getting this issue on my legit main character. So I donât believe it is because you used god mode.

Well it is an assumption on my part for sure. I just figured the two were related. Hopefully not the case. Thanks for the info!
i decided to turn on offline mode in game settings, quit the game, then disabled EAC myself according from here so just to be safe, and then opened the game thru wemod which worked fine for me. iâve only used god mode and 100% drop and i only played the game for 5hrs, i didnt get anything else about the ban and etc. so far? i will try to play more tomorrow
btw, how do you know you got soft/hard banned?
and also god mode doesnât fully works i can still get hit from arrows, fire attacks and such.
I will take the plunge for you. I am on a like 4 hours run-through right now. I did the Youtube tutorial of changing the EAC launcher and the .exe and am playing offline. I have used the Drop Rate, Rune Multiplier, and unlimited item usage. I will let you know if I get banned the next time I try and take my character online to play with my two friends. I would have had an answer tonight but there was maintenance and none of us were able to get online.

I would suggest making sure youre ACTUALLY soft ware banned before you post that and worry peopleâŚ

yes you can but EAC might detect your cheat and ban your from multiplayer. cant giveyour more details as I am only playing the cracked version. other might already posted here.
how exactly would i know if i was software banned? I just made an assumption
cheats then all the sudden i cant summon to my world. Seemed like a soft ban to me.
pretty sure im software banned, I can see phantoms, bloodstains and messages but no coop summon signs, me and my friend were testing it and we couldnt see eachothers sign. Never played online w the cheats, just offline then I would close Elden Ring and wemod then run ER through steam.
Jesus fucc dude its been explained to the moon and back for you that you CANNOT GET VAC BANNED OFF A GAME THAT DOESNT SUPPORT IT. How many times do people need to tell you that?
Played for like a good 8ish hours tonight using the above cheats after maintenance ended, restarted my game like normal with anti-cheat enabled and WeMOD completely turned off I was logged into Elden Ring online with no problems. I will update again tomorrow night when I get home from work and actually play online without cheats if it will give me a ban. I donât see myself getting any kind of strike on steam at most wonât be allowed to play with the character I cheated with. UPDATE PENDING.

How many people have to explain to you, that must be a noob with Steam, that not only VAC Bans shows a red flag on your profile?
âBeing banned from EAC secured games purchased through Steam will result in a Game Ban status being added to your Steam profile . This has the same impact as a VAC ban status. Games cannot be moved from an EAC banned account to other accountsâ

So are you saying that to be 100% safe I must go thru all that work of disabling EAC before using the trainers?

also how long is a soft ban?
I have done the whole disable EAC, play offline thing, but I only activated the one-hit kill cheat and nothing else, and didnt do anything else with item drop or more runes.
After playing like that for awhile, I turned wemod completely off, turned on EAC again and went online, and everything worked from what I could see.
After last night update to their servers, I got this message when I started the game:
âGame Security Violation Detected (#00000001)â
Does this mean the EAC could see that I had used the One-Hit cheat on that character?
