So you are you saying I must do the EAC thing before using wemod? Too much effort…
That’s it. Hope this guy just be quiet now.
“Too much effort” - This is my type of guy, copying and pasting an exe file then renaming it. PFFFFTTT Im far too busy with busy things to do that.
Yeah, I don’t get people like that. But at least he used the “I’ll wait” cliché and it only took 2 hours to end it.
there are two NPC invaders that i know of. One near the entrance of caelid from limgrave, and another in the roundtable hold.
It’s safe to do that? I don’t know… Never messed with EAC before…
idk how safe it is, but turning EAC off definitely improved the performance for me (for ex. loading screens are faster, no stuttering)
Mind telling me how you got it to work? Everytime I make a copy of eldenring.exe and rename the start_protected_game, Steam just makes a new EAC file and I get the EAC launcher when I launch through WeMod… I’ve already tried doing the steam_appid.txt and that doesn’t do anything.
Yes, disabling EAC is safe. However games with EAC have it built into their multiplayer and thus the online services won’t be available when EAC isn’t running.
first i renamed start_protected_game (eac) file as start_protected_game_not (just added “_not” at the end)
then copied eldenring.exe and renamed it to start_protected_game
and it worked for me?
i also added steam_appid.txt file just in case lol
so this is how it looks for me:

You can also do the file extension .bak to get rid of it being an .exe altogether. You just need to allow Windows to let you see file extensions in the browser to change it.
Hey so I know this probably isn’t a issue with your trainer as much as wemod itself but I’ve noticed when playing the game using wemod there is no controller support, No matter what I do I cannot figure out how to use a controller in elden ring while using wemod to launch it. I would say its the games bug but no, I’ve already had that issue and fixed it the controller support works just fine when I launch the game through steam or gog (Using a priated version of the game) But not with wemod. Hoping it is an issue with your trainer somehow so it can get fixed hahhah. It’s sadly most likely just an issue with wemod and neither you or I can fix it.
Yeah nevermind lol, I just downloaded your standalone version and the controller is working just fine since I can launch the game through steam normally. wemod just disables controller support for some reason.
sounds like a problem on your end, I’ve used wemod for so many games, including 25 hours of elden ring, and have never experienced this issue. make sure driver for controller are updated/new.
then you aren’t doing the app id right, make sure the numbers are right in the text before proceeding.
bruh im not even trying to cheat im just using it to bypass anticheat i just want to play lmao
I’m 100% doing it right.
- Right click the game on steam. 2. “Browse game files”. 3. Enter the
Gamefolder. 4. Create a file namedsteam_appid.txt5. Write1245620in it. 6. Save. 7. Renamestart_protected_game.exetostart_protected_game.exe.bak7.1. Optional - go offline. 8. Starteldenring.exe
I just put Steam in Offline mode and it works that way, just annoying.
Lol
Not a philosophy, your problem is very straightforward.
"Hey, yeah I get your concern. I too have invested quite a bit in my steam, but as long as you launch Elden Ring without EAC running you are fine and won’t get VAC banned. The main thing we are all worried about EAC won’t detect you for your situation though you aren’t going to have VAC ban as long as the game is launched without EAC. "
It seems that many people do not understand this fact.
I think these people need a minimum of knowledge to modify the game.
All you have to do is disable the EAC and play the game offline, and how to do that is explained many times.
As long as you do that, at least what you are worried about is okay.
However, the developer-side game monitoring is still done separately.
The ban you may get by using the trainer this is a “soft ban”.
The steam flag you say has nothing to do with this.
If you don’t understand this explanation, I think you should stop using the trainer lol
And there’s definitely no such thing as 100% safety, and no one knows the truth, so I don’t think you’ll get the answer you’re looking for here.
Some might say “it’s probably safe”, but it’s not “100% safe”.
After all, it’s just luck.
I say that because you are so afraid of risk.
It’s been less than two weeks since the game was released.
What is clear here is that no developer will have banned it yet.
Because the soft ban comes in the waves.
At least in DS3.
So no one knows the truth about the ban.
Stop asking the same question over and over lol
for offline mode, you do mean by turning offline mode on steam or ingame or both?
