I already texted this above 7d ago (5. Jul) for both games if you may check my post.
but to anticipate your next question - I checked ALL mod versions of both games and none of them worked successfully. I’m at my wits end at the moment and I’m afraid you are too. but maybe you can think of another trick. But to be honest, I now feel this way with a whole range of games and WeMod might no longer be the right platform for mods for me.
If the issue still persists, please try to add the game’s exe manually. You can follow the steps in this article on how to add the game manually: Why can't WeMod find my installed game?
Well - adding the exeptions to my Anti-Virus doesn’t help!
I did add the game’s-exe manually before, deleted and added new manually!
The hint always says:
“These mods may not work with your game version.
Would you still like to test it?
Yes No”
I said yes, the game starting as usual but wether in Menue nor in game Mods can be activated.
I’ve tried all the suggested options. What can still be possible now?
in my opinion, the mods should all be checked for the latest game version and updated.
otherwise WeMod possibly come to be useless for me in general.
Sorry for this conclusion, but this is no longer the only game that doesn’t work with WeMod.
Sorry for the inconvenience. The game hasn’t updated since 2020 and the last trainer released in 2021 has been tested and confirmed working. But just a heads up, the trainer creator for Everspace has already retired so this trainer will most likely no longer receive any updates. And about Everspace 2 trainer, it’s been tested recently and the team also confirmed it is working as intended. Can you tell us what anti-virus you are running on your computer?
I think I found the solution!
When you add the game to WeMod,
you should not add the executable file that is in the root.
Instead, you should go to the address where you installed the game, like this:
\Games\EVERSPACE Ultimate Edition\RSG\Binaries\Win64
and add the file “RSG-Win64-Shipping.exe” to WeMod
This example was to add the 64-bit executable file of the game.
To add the 32-bit version, for example, follow the path:
\Games\EVERSPACE Ultimate Edition\RSG\Binaries\Win32
and add the file “RSG-Win32-Shipping.exe” to WeMod
You should not add any of the following files:
‘Everspace.exe’ or ‘Everspace_32bit.exe’
These files located in the root of the game folder,
act as shortcuts to the main executable files.
And if you add them to WeMod,
WeMod cannot have full control over the main executable file of the game when running through them.
Of course, this solution is for the Windows version of the game.
Since I don’t have it on another operating system, I don’t know how the game’s file structure is in other places.
And since I tested it on the A.K.A. [K-RAK] version,
I don’t know how it works on the official version!
This solution is probably true for all similar games that have a file structure like this.
That is, if you have a game whose main executable file is located in subfolders.
First, you need to find it, run it, try it, and see if the game runs properly through it.
If the answer is yes, you need to add that file to WeMod.
And avoid adding a file that is located in the root of the game.
I hope you can enjoy the Trainers too.
Thanks to the WeMod team and all of you, especially the forum users who keep this place alive.
A very strange trainer update. On the one hand, it seems to add new functions, on the other hand, it broke the old ones. Now energy and missiles are turned off when moving between locations, which is very inconvenient. Cooldown and repair do not work. It seems like the idea was good, but the implementation failed. It is just unclear why this was done if the game has not been updated for about 4 years.
Perhaps it would be better to just stay on the old version of the trainer. I leave this comment for those who encounter problems in this update.
