[size=20]Please help me i have downloaded a save which has been modded, it has 999999999 gold, not sure about renown, all skills maxed and the main thing that i want it has alot of every item such as hero dolls, dyes, augment and weapons… i would have called it the perfect save but i discovered after playing on it for ages and saving multiple times that when i quit and then went back on it, it hadn’t saved because i last saved in knoleisland and the picture was still of oakfield??? this confused me so i tried to load the save and it froze while trying to load.
After a little testing i found that if i download the modded save again i could load it up as normal, everything worked such as gifting players and traveling to different locations, the save has nothing wrong with it, then as soon as i try to save and quit or save and continue and then quit it doesn’t save and it freezes while loading…
sorry for the long post i am desperate to fix this problem so i tried to be as specific as i could thus not raising more questions

Any help would be sooo greatly appreciated ive literally spent hours on Google, YouTube, forums AND even other search engines such as Bing and Yahoo to see if the results would turn up any other information on why this is happening and how to stop it.
The problem is the maxed out items, gold, dyes, weapons, etc. If you max out the saves too much it will make the game lag a lot and cause it to freeze. It is like getting into one of those Call Of Duty lobbies where the hoster keeps adding bots or people have unlimited RPGs, it makes the game freeze. I advise you to download a save that isn’t maxed out, that will most likely fix the problem.
Wow you no what i didn’t think of that, the only thing is why would the save load in the first place tho? You’ve definitely given me something else to try, thanks man
Yehh that makes complete sence, im going to attempt to re download the save and sort out the items because there’s alot… lool if that fails ill try lower the money and renown,
Ya nick hit the nail on the head for ya even if you dont mod items and just gold for some reason it locks it up and i also did a small test that you can mod xp and a few others but never max out the gold it locks it up just back up you files before modding lol
yehh it makes sence but to be honest i dont think its just the gold because on modio there an identical save even starts in the same spot with abt 1 mill instead of 999mill and that does the same im wondering if either way the original save was ruined during the modding process, im going to try to re mod it properly,
being that this save is the base save for most copies i have found on Google is there anyone who has a fable 2 save and would be kind enough to post it i am looking for one with multiple copies of augments, legendary weapons and so on i can attempt to mod the gold and renown myself
Sorry to bring this old topic up, but it seems I have the same issue. Could I possibly hex edit the renown and money down, and that’ll fix it? It’s happened several times after several times but has only happened within Westcliff, Bloodstone, or Brightwood
I’m gonna see if I can hex edit it, and find any “noticable corruption” wrong with it(“Unusual Renown, gold,exp”) values. Best way I can do this is within Horizon, to see if all the values still load up. My save isn’t corrupted, I know I can save it(I have no backup)
