All versions of Windows, even unactivated ones, have Windows Defender, which is an antivirus that cannot be removed because it is permanently embedded.
I spoke to WeMod’s lead developer who believes there’s a chance some part of WeMod’s files may have been removed or interfered with. An antivirus software, like Windows Defender, could do this.
