There’s no folder called “Horizon Beta.exe”
For everyone who has problems with Horizon not loading: check your Windows settings for “Language for programs which do not support Unicode characters” (something like that, my Windows is not English, can’t tell for sure) in Control Panel -> Language and Regional Settings. It should be English, or Horizon won’t start. If it’s not English, change it to English (doesn’t matter which country) and reboot, then Horizon should start.
Devs, please fix this, it’s really annoying to reboot OS just to launch Horizon and reboot back to normal. Non-English speaking users can have problems with displaying non-English characters in many programs with that setting set to “English”, so we can’t keep that setting forever.
I’ll look into it. It may be because we use certain fonts in the Game Adder and Achievement Unlocker to display those Chinese titles.
Not helped at all
In my case Horizon was showing up in task manager for like 3 seconds; you said yours didn’t even show up. I guess my solution works only for my case then.

The only other thing I can suggest for you, is you don’t have .NET Framework 3.5 installed… Even if you do, just redownload and install. Download Confirmation

So … what I’m reading from the op is that this program doesn’t work with windows 7 sp1 …and your solution is for me to uninstall sp1?
Type of problem.:
Double click the exe… get an instant pop up exclaiming that the program "has stopped working."
os: Windows 7 x64
antivirus/firewall: The windows live security stuff… firewall is the basic firewall that came with windows… Turned it all off. +tried allowing horizon through the firewall. no fix.
Yeah, uninstall the service pack.

Haven’t had any issues with Horizon, but for the past few days xboxmb.com is non responsive, then comes back up later on…Happened already today [and its not my comp/firewall, cause i have tried on others]

Anyway, by any chance do you have Windows 7, with Service Pack 1 installed. If you do, that’s why.
what can i do if sp1 is intergrated in my system it says build is 76001 and sp1 is not listed cmd says its required

You can’t do anything if it’s integrated. Also there is no ETA at the moment.

Get rid of Norton to start, will save you some ram, and problems in the future.
Install .NET Framework again, or install the updates via Windows Update.

Try disabling your AV. Or make sure you don’t have Service Pack 1 installed.
