How to whitelist WeMod or make it so it doesn't get seen as a virus/trojan by my antivirus?

I have McAfee and I saw an answer to this (My antivirus marked WeMod as a Trojan) but when I put Update.exe, WeMod.exe, WeModAuxiliaryService.exe as excluded files yet it still doesn’t work. I’m unsure how to do this as I’m not the savviest PC user. I appreciate any help anyone can provide.
