I am playing in skirmish mode, didn’t play any other modes. I don’t know what DLC is LOL. The problem the last few times I tried it, was none of the cheats would actually activate at all. And 100% of the time, when I go to quit the game it crashes and I have to control alt delete to get out.

So I was using it in Solo, Campaign. Mission “No Mans Land”
No DLC here.
Im really surprised it hasnt crashed for you 
Having the game crash on me too, currently playing the steam version with all dlc. From what I’ve found most of the time crashing is most likely just the game, I validated the steam files and every time after an update I’ve noticed the game has 1 file missing (appx. 633mb in size) and when its re-acquired the game is suddenly stable;
So for everyone I suggest validating your files real quick to see if that helps ‘somewhat’
Now I say somewhat because the cheats still cause crashes under certain conditions, I’m currently trying to a deep dive play test of each cheat for you it’s just taking a minute since I have to force quit/re-launch constantly but I’ll post my findings as I go along and hopefully they help
For control I’m doing a skirmish game set to annihilation on Costal Clash with a medium ai set to Usonia (reserves are random as always) and my faction is set too Saxony (reserves are brunhilde, Gimbart in 2nd and flametrooper in 1st)
Right now I can hard confirm the game consistently freezes in the loading screen at around 47%-49% if any cheat is activated before getting into the game, and once in game if you select either of your reserves while any cheat is activated (I have not tested it yet with deactivated cheats) the game will instantly freeze every time.

Just for you and the others to know, at no means will I stop trying to help out. I just wanted more details so I can try to pinpoint the issue. See if there was some sort of shared details about the crashes where I can better recreate the issue to cause a crash.

Hey just finished work, playing with no DLC, normal campaign , crashed while i tried loading saved game, second time launched through trainer, switched troops resources and recruit on, crashed after 5/10 minutes, 3rd time same as second, crashed 5/10 mins into game

Ok…installed new copy of wemod (removed old)
Started Wemod (actually opened this time)
hit play
at skirmish menu activated unlimited troops, Unl resources & insta troop
Game started, no cheats working tried on / off all three, no go
i quit game, game crashed had to end task to get out
Question: When is it recommended to activate the cheats…at menu or in game play?

The Notes appear if you hover over the (i) icon next to the cheat description…like for one hit kill the little i if you hover over says use when enemies are visible, disable when not needed

uninstalled / reinstalled, wemod again today
Opened game, at menu pressed 2,3, 5. In game play no cheats activcated.
got a phone call, paused game, came back to game for insta-crash.

The train mission seems to be my stumbling block, too. I’m only able to get a few minutes in before it freezes up. Had this happen earlier, did the file verification, still nada.

Sorry again for the late response, I’ve had to attend a family funeral in my home country. So I haven’t been able to test the game myself.
I’ve had someone look at the game while I was away, but they just reported the same thing as me, no crashes.
I’ll be looking at the train mission to see if I can get a crash there.

To answer your question about when to activate the cheats, it’s better to do it when you’re in game unless otherwise stated in the notes. The individual cheat notes can be seen by hovering over the little i icon on the app.

I have no idea how you are not getting crashes!!! The thing just tanks within minuites of activating a hack…

Right. Finally had two crashes. One on defending the train in Anna campaign. The other with moving the train after.
Need to look more into what’s causing the crashes, to try to help the trainer dev. This is unfortunately a lengthy process, but I will keep you guys updated.

I guess oddly, its good you have had some crashes, at least its repliacated, thats one of the big wins in fixing something!

It seems to be centered a lot around that damn train mission. That’s where most of my crashes have been, too.
