Currently the game is not supported, yet it was supported during early days (Marvel's Avengers Cheats and Trainer for Steam); I even used those mods at the beginning.
The game is no longer on sale. They removed it from the Steam store (Marvel's Avengers - The Definitive Edition on Steam), so new sales are impossible, or even the multiplayer support may have been discontinued (please note I’m just guessing, not saying).
I was wondering if this might simplify enabling support for this game again. It was hard to keep mods running when playing with other people, but this could/should not be a problem anymore.
Hello and welcome back to the community.
The trainer for Marvel’s Avengers was removed due to legal concerns, as the cheats had the potential to bypass microtransactions. As such, it’s highly unlikely that the trainer will return to WeMod—especially as the game is no longer being sold or receiving updates and is unlikely to attract new players, making continued support economically unviable.
This isn’t an isolated case, either. Marvel games are known for occasionally being pulled from stores due to ongoing licensing complications with Marvel. Despite being a phenomenally popular movie franchise, Marvel has always had difficulty achieving the same level of success in the video game market.
Ah.. yes… the microtransactions dilemma…
Well… if microtransactions are still working -something I didn’t check- then I understand.
Given that the game doesn’t get new updates, I would not expect it to be economically unviable because, once created, mods would hardly change (because game files would not change either). Yet I understand your point.
Thanks for the update.
PS: Yes, Marvel games are not as good as the MCU Infinity Saga. I think that new movies and shows suck.
