WeMod App login doesn't work

Same problem as in this thread which has been very helpfully locked: WeMod App won't log in
I can login no problem in the browser.

I don’t have a VPN. I don’t have any filtering with PiHole or similar on my network. I don’t have an AntiVirus.
I tried resetting my password, with and without special characters.
I tried using both my username and the email.
I also tried making a new account with a different mail.
Wand is the latest version.
I tried deleting all files related to WeMod, redownloading and reinstalling.

It’s always the same result, there’s just this little popup:

This seems to have been a temporary issue. Today I was able to login with the app.

Sharing my experience here in case someone else comes from a search engine like I did. May it be useful (and hopefully not annoy any mods).

I downloaded WeMod in 2023 and hadn’t used the WeMod application since at least early 2024, when I was using it for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition. Digimon Story: Time Stranger was finally on a moderate sale on Steam this week, I bought it, and decided to run WeMod.

  1. Kept receiving the invalid error despite having the correct information.
  2. Humored it and reset password. Could log in on the website, but still not the app.
  3. Went to the app’s file location, ran Update.exe… Saw an update log file created, so something did happen.
  4. Ran app again, same error.
  5. Checked Win10 firewall. It was fine.
  6. Restarted computer just to cover my bases. Nada.
  7. Finally uninstalled the WeMod app. Proceeded to re-download from the website.
  8. “…Why does the app icon look different?” (open app) “Oh.”

So apparently WeMod had re-branded at some point, but there was nothing obvious to this casual user to indicate that her app was too old even with updates. I was able to log in fine afterwards.


TL;DR: If you are still the using WeMod app, uninstall it and download the rebranded version (Wand) from the website.

  • C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\Wand
