WeMod update feedback

The issue with 1-time payment is it would be more than most people would want to pay. If you look at other sites that offer lifetime subs they are like 2-5 year all at once. So it would be around $150-$400 for a lifetime sub if we followed.

We are still looking at bringing back mining for pro.

A fair answer.

Yes, the play button shows playing. Still no joy. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, started a game then loading WeMod and still nothing happens. I’m at a total loss as to why it will not work.

I’m going into withdrawal pains here!!

Have you tried changing the hotkeys?

I agree with bloody peacock. It’s EA levels of scum and villainy. At what point do you stop making BASIC functionality PRO. Uninstalled never using again. I’ll learn to use cheat engine. More than on way to skin a cat.

Basic functionality?
This is something no other trainers have and you call it basic?

Hate to see you go. Ya aint nothing like wemod out there. Say hi when you come back in a week or so.

“It was never meant to be a free option.”

Why not have defined hotkeys next and that people who upgrade to pro can change them! I mean, I can no longer use my extra mouse keys as hotkeys now so it’s heading that way already.

And having the option to send “anonymous reporting” automatically enabled, why not sell some of that “anonymous” information to companies seeing as people have it enabled automatically without them realising until they go into their settings so they’ll be okay with it, right?!

Oh, while we’re at it! An implementation of watching a thirty second advertisement before the trainer attaches to the game. So that way WeMod can stay free for us, the product! Err, I mean users.

And with the new intrusive dashboard! You can see all the sponsors before selecting your game! Shove in some more advertising in that notification that spams us every waking minute with no option to disable! But don’t worry guys, the “mark it as read” feature can be bundled into the pro bundle because it was never meant to be free!

So let us enjoy our new bloated software that brings us cheats! And be thankful that there’s at least no viruses! You know, like those pesky viruses you got from that damned free Cheat Engine and those intrusively free Cheat Tables that those people created for people without asking for us to upgrade to pro. Pfsht. Shame on them!

We have no plans to make any hotkey-related functionality Pro-only.

Sorry about that one. To improve app CPU usage, we had to remove the mouse button monitor. I’m still looking for a suitable implementation. How many extra mouse keys do you have, and what did they show up as in the app?

The reported data is only seen by two people, and it’s completely anonymous. We use it to understand how people are using the app. We have no plans to monetize it.

What you’re getting at is true. In order to keep WeMod as our full-time job, it needs to make money. We’re currently not making any money off of free users. We’re not selling your information or doing other sketchy business. But trade-offs will have to be made as WeMod grows and the cost of maintaining the site increases. Do you think watching an advertisement is an unreasonable ask from a business that has been letting you use their work for free?

CheatEngine’s installer is bundled with bloatware, and its creator has made an unfathomable amount of money from it. Before this, it was bundled with adware until AVs and Google really started cracking down on it.

The agreement is checked by default.

Holy ■■■■ it’s like you set out to make the ugliest and least user friendly interface you possibly could. The color scheme is hideous, the actual functionality is buried under meaningless graphical fluff. Even the actual trainer is hidden with less than 1/3 of the space on the interface devoted to it. At this point, I want version guard for Wemod itself.

Would you guys update this to support the current .NET Framework v4.7.2 please?

Pro members have access to additional themes.

What is buried?

Can you elaborate further on this?

We appreciate any feedback and are open to changes if it makes something easier.

The app requires 4.7.1 or greater, so 4.7.2 is compatible.

Been using Cheat Engine with AND without Cheat Tables from a long time now and i have never ever had a single virus because of them or using them. Crashing games because of activating some things i shouldn’t ? Yes. Anti-cheat detected in game and bringing me back to main menu ? Yes. I lived these but virus : NEVER. If you download Cheat Engine, or use an obsolete version, and tables from anywhere than the official site, that’s on you, not on the app/table itself.

Back on topic i’m also on the same page than Darknesrival : nothing work anymore. I can’t cheat IG, i can’t modify Hotkeys and i’m sure as hell not gonna try to subscribe PRO if it won’t work too. So far i’ve been using Infinity with Subnautica, never had a problem with it. I read the informations about the cheats and how to activate them ingame : it worked. Using the hotkeys ? It worked. Although i was more using the Alt+Tab click than the hotkeys but still the app was working as intended.

Right now though i feel like i’m punished for attempting to cheat with an app for cheaters and forced to play commonly or forced to subscribe to a PRO status.I wouldn’t have any problem to use hotkeys instead of Alt+Tab but i want it to work duh. Likewise I wouldn’t have any problem at all to support WeMod : AS LONG AS IT DESERVE IT. Unfortunately right now with the current problem i don’t want to.

Dropped everything and restarted computer then WeMod.
Now i can modify Hotkeys and use them in game.

@Nordom
That was the point I was making, sorry if my sarcasm was lost through the text.

I too have used Cheat Engine for years with and without other people’s created tables. And you’re right, I too have never received any viruses or even adware like the admin here suggested.

@frank

“No plans to…” doesn’t feed me confidence with WeMod as a program as what “There will not be…”
In fact, it just makes me feel that there is a possibly of it happening.

See how Cheat Engine had the option to decline installing added software from the start, while WeMod doesn’t have that option about sharing this “anonymous reporting” that you claim is only seen by two people.

Also Cheat Engine also offers you a portable version where you don’t even need an installer which doesn’t even have extra software options. There’s a difference between having the option and someone neglecting to read than not having the option and it’s enabled from the get go.

I have four extra buttons on my mouse. And when hotkeyed they displayed as “x1”,“x2”, ect.

Now, you’re asking for my opinion on the matter of advertisement and so I’ll give you mine. Some people may think it’s reasonable to watch advertisement for what they consider a free product, I get the feeling that you do too. I’d agree to some extent but not when my “anonymous” data is helping in some way. And this may or not be true and if you told me it was false, I’d have a hard time believing it without some actual solid evidence but I feel the vast majority of the cheats that you offer are from table that people created for/from cheat engine. Perhaps modified slightly so they work better for the WeMod program but very much on par.

So back to the question of do I feel that it’s unreasonable to watch advertisement for tables that I can access freely and use on a free program that now offers free features that are now restricted on WeMod due to being exclusive to pro members, then yes. I do feel it’s unreasonable.

I can’t remember who made the comment that said pricing is fair. And I think for $5 the price would be fair for that convenience and supporting development. The thing is, that five dollars is only offered if you do an annual payment and monthly payment is something like $7/8. (Prices might be wrong due to conversions, apologies.) I wouldn’t pay that price for a damn coffee. In fact, where I’m from I can get a coffee for $2. And that’s on the expensive side. (The coffee comment is made due to one of the admins comparing it to buying coffee or cigarettes.) I ain’t committing a years subscription to a cheating program that I can get an alternative for free just to shave two dollars for convenience. For a few more dollars I can just subscribe to humble bundle and help out charities instead and be much more rewarded. Like I said though, it’s my opinion and I’m sure some will disagree and some might even agree.

TLDR: Yes, I’d find it unreasonable if you added in advertisement.

lucky i cant even get the hot keys to work

could you explain this please? im not all that tech savvy

The interface looks pretty horrible, like i can barely see text because it folds over other text in the background and the colors dont contrast enough. The removal of being able to click buttons was a deal-breaker for me. It was the only thing that made this so much better than random trainers. I just wanted to play Just Cause 3 but i found myself having to memorize multiple hotkeys and then pressing the wrong ones, which broke my game because some of the cheats (infinite items) make you unable to shoot or fly.

Yes it does

We aren’t selling your data so there is no help from it.

I guarantee you our cheat creators do not use cheats from other peoples tables. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t believe us or even how we would prove it. STN has been in the trainer scene for over 10 years now. I’m not sure how long Reppin or Stingerr have been doing this but they know what they are doing and don’t rip from other people.

So do you think it is unreasonable for us to place ads in the app and on our site like those sites that distribute free cheat tables? I guarantee you they aren’t free. You are paying for it some way rather it be them selling your data or integrating ads. And how many of those sites keep tables updated past the first month or two?

@Seprent

Essentially we get to use your GPU to mine cryptocurrencies while you aren’t using it. In return you get Pro. It was around for a week or two in V4 until some AVs decided to mark Infinity as malware. It caused a big issue and we had to remove it.

I didn’t realise I’d need to actually clarify so I apologise for the confusion, @Chris

I’ll reiterate for you. WeMod doesn’t have the option to decline sharing this “anonymous” data at installation. Is that better? In fact, I didn’t even agree to having Infinity to upgrade to WeMod. It did that automatically without my consent, I opened up infinity. It closed down and then updated itself to WeMod.

I never claimed that selling our data could help. Though I’m sure if you were to sell the data it could actually help, after all like the admin before you stated. You need an income to support development.
But Frank specifically said about the terms of this “anonymous” data, and I quote this for you:

“We use it to understand how people are using the app.”

If you’re using it to understand how people are using the app, then it’s for the creators benefit. Which could be used against us to monetize features.

Your guarantee doesn’t mean anything if you have no means to back it up. Granted I have no idea on how you as a merchant would be able to resolve that issue.
I’m really pleased for you that you have people who can write tables for you, tables that I believe work in a similar if not exact manner as Cheat Engine.

I do think it’s unreasonable, Chris. And I can also guarantee you that I have not succumbed to any of what you’re mentioning. Cheat Engine doesn’t send my information back and forth to a server in order to see how I use the program, that I can assure you. Especially without my consent.

The place where I locate my tables are updated regularly, especially for the latest games and their is no advertisement and the tables that are “outdated” tend to still work. But those are old games, games which WeMod do not even cater for.

I can only say “that sucks” if you suffered from your data being sold and being forced to watch advertisement because I can guarantee you Chris that I have not. You should speak with your trainer creators, they should point you in the right direction of where the updated tables without advertisement and data selling because they’re quite active on those sites too.
Purely for marketing research of course, to see that they do exist. Not to rip anything, surely.
