I just recently got a new Scuf Controller since I am a competitive player, if you don’t know what a scuf controller is click the link. ScufGaming | Custom XBox and Playstation 3 Controllers for Pro and Elite Gamers anyways does anyone know if xbox 360 controllers will work for the xbox one? I will be really upset if they don’t I mean I just bought this and if they don’t work for the Xbox One I will only be able to use this for a couple of months
We will have to wait and see what SCUF has in store for us.
Yeah looks like it
All that money for a controller? Is it worth it?
Once you get one you really get used to it helps with knifing and jumping. I can’t even use a regular controller anymore to play Call of Duty I need to use my SCUF.
I’m sure SCUF or Microsoft will be doing something to allow for the ‘Special’ items like SCUF controllers; just they are for Astro Headsets with the adapter. Personally, I’ve been doing a ton of research on SCUF controllers and considering getting one, but have run into some website problems when purchasing/designing the controller to my specifics, but I will be purchasing one. Plus, I don’t plan on upgrading to the X1 anytime soon so I will be able to use my controller for a good amount of time.
On a side-note, how did you guys get your SCUF controllers designed?
Yes it is really worth it! It improved my gameplay by a ton! I win more gunfights now, I am also winning more tournaments so I am getting the money back
I just got the Team Prophecy Scuf, they’re a pro team for Mlg. The controller looks great.
Nice, did you customize anything that didn’t come “stock” with the controller or did you just keep it “stock”?
Ex : Did you add additional paddles or make it re-mappable etc.?
What’s so good about SCUF?
I left everything stock except for the LED I got that red.
They help you improve your gameplay by being able to perform more than one move on COD at a time.
Ex: I can jump around a corner and shoot you at the same time, or jump around a corner and shoot you while going prone.
I can do the same thing without a SCUF. As far as being compatible with Xbox one. I doubt it seeing as X1 has new controllers. Sure they can make new ones but I don’t think your old ones will work with it.
There are a lot of people who can already perform those moves whether it’d be by playing CLAW or normal, but with a SCUF it allows a user to perform those moves without having to remove your thumbs from the intended buttons. (Ex: Say you expect a player to be around a corner and so you decide to jump…well you’d have to take your thumb and quickly rotate the “right” thumbstick in the direction needed and then take it and click “A” as well. With a SCUF all you have to do is keep your thumb on the “right” thumbstick and click a paddle switch)
Now I’m sure there will be some sort of an adapter that releases for those who have already invested money into a SCUF controller whether it is released by Microsoft or SCUF. To me, it would seem pretty horrible for a company to just expect their “followers” to up and buy a brand new controller (SCUF X1 edition) for a brand new console; especially if the controller can cost them up to $200 (USD).
…then again, Microsoft is making users do so with the 360 controllers so who knows.
Overall, I hope SCUF or Microsoft release an adapter because I plan on getting a SCUF (hopefully sometime soon) and I’d hate for it to be a waste even though I don’t plan on upgrading to the X1 anytime soon.
You can’t just make an adapter. Expect to buy a new controller as microsoft is money hungry and one way to make money is force people to buy new controllers.
Just read through your posts. It seems allright actually, wasn’t sure what the bottom buttons was for but now I see what they can be used for. I guess if they make some for the Xbox One I may invest in one. How are they durability wise? because I would want it to last lol. And I take care of my stuff so literally just durability?
Also known as a “Scrub” controller.
Well, that was a gravedig, but you did post helpful information, atleast for myself.
Only sad part is I have to buy a new sucuf in the future anyways, as mine fell one too many times and I broke the wire that powers it. >.> Oh well. Duct tape helps
The XbOne controllers actually have a better feeling in your hands than the X360 because of the button placing and different build in the controller+triggers.
It’s a little heavier but removing the rumble packs+installing an evil controller style (or now SCUF hyrbid) alt battery can make it weigh less than the X360 controller, but keep the no-slow turn and more durable shell.
Microsoft should just let wired xbox 360 controllers be used naturally then for wireless buy either a charger for xbox one or an adapter.
The Xbox One is using another technology, so 360 Controllers shouldnt be compatible at all.
They will probably release something new after a while
